We actually climbed up the polls faster but the same disbelief permeated the media at the time.
"Who have they played?" rang throughout the media and coaching fraternity. Yet, when offered, none wished to play BYU.
Now, we get a chance.
BYU is a good, solid team that plays mostly within itself.
We have a solid receiving corps, depth at running back, depth at QB, good Oline, great linebackers, and the best dbs we've ever had. We have solid special teams, so the making of a great season shouldn't surprise anyone.
Despite all of the solid players, BYU doesn't have the marquee names, so it allows BYU to fly under the radar. Kudos to the coaches and players, and fans for showing up 10,000 plus strong across two time zones and more than 1000 miles.
