there are certainly alot of competing forces. 150K seems like a lot compared to
the past where it was just scholarships and room and board. But the coaches are raking it in with huge salaries. Then you have the men's bball programs and football programs paying for 10+ other varsity sports.

NCAA men's bball is a serious revenue generator for P5 teams and for some mid-major teams. So that $150K for a mid-major rotation player who is a backup might actually be sustainable, it just in the future might be more tied into AD revenue (e.g., from NCAA tournament payouts) instead of directly from boosters.
