BYU got massively screwed over that season, and the biased from the NCAA was not hidden, whatsoever. Their only loss, to University of Washington, in Washington, was not a loss that should have dropped them like it did, considering that they beat 3 Top 20 teams. (Texas A&M #12, Wyoming #20 in champ game, Kansas #14) Washington ended up #15/14 in the Coaches/AP, and Wyoming#22. Almost all of the victories were blowouts, and they still put 4 teams ahead of BYU in both polls, 3 with only 11 wins and 1 with 12.
