The employees welcomed him by name and brought to his table his regular order, as if it was a full service restaurant. He made friends there and would relate to me conversations he had with other regulars. Seems like a handful of widowers or unhappy husbands met there and had a loose club of acquaintances. He spoke of the guys and staff there enough that I took an obituary over there with a picture of him just to let them know.
