I attended during the Jimmer years. You could feel the crowd cheering vibrating
through your whole body during the SDSU game against Kawhi. Couldn’t hear anything other than the crowd cheering for basically the whole game, not even the person next to you yelling in your ear.

Never had anything close to that experience at Cameron. Too small of an arena, too small of a student section, and too high a proportion of rich old people taking up seats. The pep band is too prominent, the every time we touch song gets more cheers than most of the rest of the actual game unless it’s a close game at the end. The jumbotron was tiny until recently. The video they played before games for several seasons felt stale (haven’t been to a game since last year, guessing that’s changed). I could go on.

Cameron is an amazing place with an amazing basketball history. But it’s overblown into something mythical. And like I said, I’m a big Duke fan. Guessing we will have to agree to disagree on this one.
