Someone who knows DLine play much better than me explained to me that when the DEs pinch in, it means someone else has
contain. It could be the OLB, or it could be one of the safeties.

Just because we all saw Batty pinching in, and just because there was no one containing the outside run, that does not mean Batty was the one who screwed up. It just means he was the guy in the vicinity who was most visible to our untrained eyes.

Someone definitely did mess up every time we left that run undefended. But unless we know the defensive call, we can only guess who it was. Maybe it was Batty, but not necessarily.
