The most obvious one would be helmet comms.
I think Whitt admitted as much. At least to the extent that some teams did not have very complex play call systems. Previously, teams had to relay in their plays via big signs with pictures and then maybe some hand signals. Nothing stops the opponent from looking at those signs and taking note of what plays were run.

Now, however, with the helmet comms, it can be put directly to the QB and he can then just call the play in the huddle.
