Jake/Lassiter made them pay.

Play design was use L as decoy, but OSU figured out Jojo was the target. I think Lassiter was supposed to run a Go, but he saw the space and cut to a slant. Jake’s qu k release made it possible to hit him in stride-which if he hadn’t done would have kept him from making the tacklers miss and finding the end zone.

I don’t think it was a bad pass to Jojo that happened to go to the perfect place for Lassiter—the play showed the result of skill built from a ton of reps.
