The pattern of throwing staff under the bus--particularly the same position over and over--strikes me as a failure of leadership.

Not saying Harlan should fire Kyle--obviously he has earned his place over two decades of success. But clearly Kyle is the one doing something wrong with the OC position. Is he unable to hire a competent OC? If so, that is a failure of leadership/decision making. Or does he have a habit of neutering his OC? If so, that is also a failure of leadership.

Or is poor Kyle just super unlucky? I guess that is the message he wants everyone to believe.
