Then you, as a fan, wasted an entire week of euphoria over being 7-0. Stop living the Indy life, we are in a conference
Part of the fun of a conference is speculating about all of the outcomes of your season. All of the avenues to a conference and national championship.
If a team, say Kansas, becomes a spoiler because we lost to them and lose out on the title game due to a tie-breaker rule, then we start to dislike Kansas and mark that game next year. Or that carries over into basketball (rest assured they already want to beat us on the MC floor anyway). This is how rivalries are formed. On the field. On the court. When stakes are high.
They aren't formed by the P12 saying "Behold, Colorado has, and always shall be, your rival!"
They are formed because of spoilers.
We are forming rivalries right now, because we are winning. This is good. This what being a fan in a conference is for.
Don't miss out on all the fun of being in a conference because you are scared BYU might lose the next game. Or the next two.
Enjoy the ride!!
