with my brother-from-another-mother roommate staring out at the falling snow. It was probably 10:00 pm, and I don't remember which one of us said it, but it went something like, "If we left right now and drove through the night, we could be to that game before it starts tomorrow." Next thing I knew, we were jumping in his Toyota Tercel and driving through that blizzard. One of our FHE sisters also came along. We made it to the Murphy parking lot about two hours early and there was somebody trying to unload four tickets at face value, with the caveat that we had to buy all four instead of just three. That still seemed like a pretty good deal to us. So, per a crazy, reckless, last-second decision, I got to be at that game. Still one of my all-time coolest memories.
