It's a totally different scenario now. Whoever wins the Natty has to earn it in
The tournament. It's hard to argue that the winner wasn't deserving. Before it was popular opinion largely based off of a teams record without as much weight given to strength of schedule.
Now I would say if either a ACC or Big 12 team take it all, it further solidifies the B1G and SEC in their argument for more guaranteed playoff spots. Their greed is insatiable.
