With Ollie Gordon coming to Provo this weekend, I was just curious how BYU's rush defense has performed this year. It seems to me that most teams have run the ball fairly effectively to start the game but it has been tougher and tougher to run the ball vs BYU as the game has progressed. The best rusher this versus BYU was the QB for S Illinois and oddly enough BYU has given up 40% of their allowed rushing yards to QB's (295 out of 722 yards allowed).
For comparison, Ollie Gordon ran for 166 yards last year vs BYU (and 5 TD's). He has only run for more than 50 yards vs FBS competition one time this season (76 vs Kansas State).
