I quickly learned that it was a critical part of the culture here. For the spring, Jackson used to have our break in late April after the resorts closed. Many people were finally off work and needed to get away from the cold after a long winter. For many it was an important break before the tourist all showed up around Memorial Day. It was really nice when it was in late April because the tourist hotspots outside of Jackson weren’t quite as busy as they are now that we go in late March early April. We still have two full weeks for spring break.
