6 years ago I often heard the "BYU sucks", "uu is the best...".... by the majority of youth at soccer practice and at church activities (South Jordan). Well, that has changed recently. The BYU fans at practice talk about BYU and the uu fans don't say anything. Nobody brings up uu any more. At activities uu fans aren't annoying about BYU anymore. Those in the middle have been very positive about BYU. It is a pretty obvious change.... at least to me.

My son's best friend (both on missions) contacted my son to say that he's decided to attend BYU instead of uu when he gets back. This isn't just because of football/basketball, but I don't doubt that there is a slight influence there.
