Maybe a little bit, but I think it has more to do with recruits committing
early and not getting as many offers from other schools and thus not getting their ranking driven up.
Or simply schools not recruiting kids they think are BYU kids after BYU has offered.
Or simply schools not recruiting kids they think are BYU kids after BYU has offered.
