I read an interesting story about income.... Not exactly the same as this poll question, but probably related.

When they asked people how much they needed to make to "feel comfortable", most people answered twice what they were currently making.

It kind of makes sense.... you know it's more than you are currently making. It's hard to pinpoint a specific number when asked. 10 times what you are making is clearly greedy. Just a little bit more is not enough. Twice! Yeah Twice is reasonable number, that is not crazy greedy, but enough.
