Car insurance is an interesting comparison. Health insurance is like
car insurance + a maintenance plan + tire and alignment service + roadside assistance, all wrapped into one.
It would be interesting to see what the system could look like if you could separate catastrophic, true health insurance versus healthcare maintenance costs.
Also, if more employees paid their health insurance premiums instead of employers, I believe the system would change quickly.
