virtually anyone can beat anyone in the B12 on any given day, (including BYU), especially if a team is lacking in motivation, execution, or has key TO's. Just gotta play it out.

But, it's nice to be squarely entrenched smack dab in the middle of the conversation as a team to beat going forward to the CC and CFP. We are at least as likely to be there as anyone is, based on results so far, and just how many "big" games remain on the schedule for almost every team.

It's just SOOOOO nice to have games that have meaning, and a hope that we can do something meaningful. And so much of it has to do with one really big thing, IMO. FINALLY GETTING CONSISTENT PRESSURE ON THE OPPOSING QB. The defense is finally forcing the issue on defense, rather than letting almost any (otherwise mediocre) QB sit back there and have a career day, with an eternity of time to pick us apart.

And although I hate to say anything negative about the "D," they even have the potential to improve - Baylor Q3 and 4 proved that. If they can just adjust in such a way that they can find a way to set the edge better, and turn plays inside, and find a way to cut down on long 3rd down conversions, they may get very close to the best defense in the country. That is an absolute monumental turnaround from the last 3-4 years.
