I have an offer on the table to return to my prior employer (who I left 3 years ago). Most of the reasons I left are now gone (specific people, below market salary) and I'm basically being offered my old boss's job at a 49% higher salary than I was at 3 years ago (and about 20% higher than I'm at right now).

Biggest downside is that I would have to go from full-time WFH with 4 weeks of travel per year to a 3/2 hybrid schedule with a 20 minute commute each way 3x per week. The company I'm considering rejoining is a lot bigger than the one I am currently at so there is more bureaucracy and process but it's manageable and that wasn't why I left before.

Just curious if anyone here has done something similar and what your experience was like after rejoining.
