if they are even linked to any 4* guys in this class at this point.
Lamason Waller is the highest rated commit for BYU at 88.
For comparison, Utah currently has 8 guys rated 88 or higher, including two 4* commits (90 and 91 ratings).
One guy remains uncommitted in the state of Utah top 15: Austin Pay, 3* OT. Here is where the top 15 players in the state have committed:
1- USC
2- Utah
3- Oklahoma
4- Utah
5- (Pay)
6- Nebraska
7- Nebraska
8- Stanford
9- BYU (Makasini, LB from Timpview)
10- Oklahoma St
11- Cal
12- Utah
13- Stanford
14- BYU (Payne, LB out of Weber)
15- ASU
BYU has commits from the #18 and #20 recruits in the state.
Unfortunate that it isn't a stellar year for LDS and Utah recruits during a potentially great season for BYU. Transfer portal is going to be even more important this off-season. Would feel a lot better about the future talent in the program if Tuakoi and Akuila from the 2024 class had been able to get enrolled. Tuakoi especially had massive offers out of HS.
