... and by 'helpers, ' I mean my wife and younger son on the last few TVs I've hung.

I spend hours measuring, drawing lines, finding the studs, drilling the holes, making sure the mount is exactly level, ratcheting in lag bolts, even hanging off the mount to make sure it can hold my weight, dreading the 10 minutes of angry comments and yelling I know I'll get the second my helpers touch the TV.

We've done it enough times now it's a new family tradition... I'm sure it will come up during Sunday dinners for the next few months. My wife said she even looked up some new swear words to use this time because i warned her of the TV's weight weeks in advance.

But you know what.. at the end of the day I'll take the abuse... Worth it!
