I hung out with a former Utah player the night after Utah lost to ASU. First thing he said to me was, “BYU’s only good this year because they started copying Utah and started picking up Utah’s former coaches.” His claim:

I just stared at him waiting for him to realize that Utah’s head coach graduated from BYU. Even when it finally hit him, he refused to acknowledge that was a factor to any of Utah’s success.
