I have a son w/severe depression. This Jordan Peterson video is enlightening
The graphic at 3:54 and the 5 minutes after that really resonated with me, especially the part about constraining negative events to the minimum necessary domain. So many times my son has had a negative occurrence of some sort - that for me would be no big deal - but for him is a trigger that results in him focusing on 5 other negatives and it’s a rapid downward spiral.
Anyway, as a parent trying to understand and support and help my son there where a lot of things here that made sense to me;
