I think it's actually impossible. If Iowa St loses the Big 12 Conf Champ game
then someone else from the Big 12 will also be in the field of 12 as he winner of the Conf Champ game.
Try the same thing with BYU or Kstate (run the table the rest of the way, but lose the conf champ game). Either BYU or KSU still make the field of 12, but also Iowa State is in. Seems like a coding error.
