Which brings up a good point
I think it's very weird when people refer to strangers by first name only.
Of course, I must have the minority view of that. I see it and hear it so often. Even professional TV guys do it while calling a football game.
Also, referring to someone by first name only when speaking to an audience isn't on a first name basis with that person is weird.

I don't know LeBron James, so he's "James" or "LeBron James."
I don't know Dak Prescott, so he's "Prescott" or "Dak Prescott."
