the staff about a previous commit who was supposed to join the team this year?

I know Robbie and maybe one other "media" member have made passing comments about Mboup being unlikely to join the team (and at this point we can change that to definitely not joining the team this year) but any other info about him wanting to join the program next off-season? Can he get enrolled in school for winter semester? Just assume he's gone the way of Walt Williams and nobody will ever speak about him again?
