better and more dynamic than theirs, but we didn't really get them the ball enough. Its not like BYU was creating a lot of chances.
I think shots and possession and xG would have been about equal. I think our goals were more beautiful than theirs were. But if their high press can cause a lot of mistakes by our defense, that is part of the game. One defensive miscue that leads to a goal is equal one bit of offensive excellence which scores a goal.
For the type of skill each team has, Kansas playing style fits their personnel a lot better. BYU is trying to play a highly offensive style when we don't have the speed/technical ability to pull it off well. BYU continually is exposed with bad numbers and breakaways in the back, and lately we aren't seeing that happen for the other teams because they keep their shape better and keep plenty of numbers back.
