It's a difficult time to be running off of VC funding - we're also in a heavily regulated industry with a long sales cycle so we are unlikely to be profitable for multiple more years at this point.
It's always on the back of my mind that we could close up shop really anytime. Right now management and board keep giving us "we're good for the next 6 months so long as we hit these milestones" each month. Our investors are aligned with our estimated timeline but you never know how long management will be patient.
I'm not aggressively looking for other roles but I have started responding to headhunters pinging me online - and if something more stable comes up I'll likely leave.
