He's been recruited by top colleges, including Vanderbilt, so I'd guess BYU has a pretty good NIL offer for him to get him to sign this early. That said, if he's drafted in the top 2 or 3 rounds and is offered a couple million to sign, he'd be crazy not to take it given the risks of arm/shoulder injuries for pitchers. I'll have my daughter ask him the next time she talks to him.
