I honestly can't recall in my own living memory. 2020 was actually a pretty good year for both sports, and perhaps our 2024 football team is comparable to that 2020 team, but did we have this much optimism about the 2020-21 basketball team before the season began? I don't think so, as we had just lost Haws and Childs to graduation.

The late 00's with Beck and Hall at QB were pretty good football years, but I don't recall anything like the present level of excitement for basketball.

1996 was an all-time great year for football, but an incredibly bad time for the basketball program.
