Makes sense. Plus, Tolkien said LoTR is full of Christian themes; good v. evil
power of grace and mercy, humility over pride, light as a symbol of divine creation, death and immortality, the role of divine providence and agency. Tolkien regarded the Gospel as the ultimate story and infused his love of God and Christianity in his works.
