Listened to Elder Bednar's talk yesterday and I'm committed to repentance.
So best of luck tonight Mannheimadler and Crash McLarson and any other board Padres fans.

I'm still gonna be passionate about the Dodgers and hope they win but part of my repentance process (this seems funny but sports really is one of my weak spots when it comes to pride, especially with online anonymity.) Is to be more genuinely gracious in victory or defeat.

But if we lose I'm going be here to congratulate you and genuinely be happy for your sports joy. You're good people. We share the same beliefs and values. I'll be doing the same with board Utes. Yep, even you BigUte if things don't go well in a few weeks.

My worry is always if I don't have enough passion to be miserable when my team loses, I won't have maximum sports joy I want when they win.

I'm convinced now that I can have the potential joy without the misery risk.

And if things go well, same story (which is a real risk for you Padres fans as God rewards my efforts ;)). I'm gonna be a more gracious winner. While my act is generally TIC, and isn't personal, I'm going to focus any comments I make on the good performance of my team.

I think this is the way. Sports joy without the pride and thus with diminished misery. I think it just might be possible.

I'm certainly going to try the experiment.

So good luck Padres but go Dodgers!
