dispose of a scuffed up ball to a ball boy in between innings. Yeah, Dave Roberts is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Also, Machado threw that (likely) harder than he typically does because of the interchanges with the Dodgers the entire game. And, I think that’s stupid.

For the record, I hated Machado as a Dodger because I thought he was dirty. What he did to Pedroia as an Oriole, and later what he did to Aguilar in the NLCS in 2018. I believe he’s been on probably his best behavior as a Padre. Still a hot head, still runs his mouth more than he probably should, and still likely guilty of stuff like this, but very inconsequential compared to the fighting and the dirty play previously. Still, probably shouldn’t have done that.
