Three players have entered the Hall of Fame representing the San Diego Padres
1. Tony Gwynn (Class of 2007) - A Padres legend known as “Mr. Padre,” Gwynn spent his entire 20-season career with the team. He won eight National League batting titles and was an All-Star 15 times.
2. Dave Winfield (Class of 2001) - He was the first player to go into the Hall of Fame as a Padre. Winfield was a 12-time All-Star during his 22-year career.
3. Trevor Hoffman (Class of 2018) - Hoffman is one of the greatest closers in MLB history, retiring with 601 saves, which was an all-time record at the time of his retirement.

These players are iconic figures in the history of the Padres franchise  .
