Hate that rationale - if they played well enough to win if the refs did their
job they played well enough to win period. Momentum swings games all over the place in games, the refs shouldn't push one team over the edge.

Refs screwed Cal BUT it’s also hard to blame the refs when you blow such a huge lead.

It's not hard to blame the refs. Clear targeting. 15 yards. 1st down Cal.

Dude lowers his head and leads. If he kept his head up you may have a case but

It looked like targeting, because it was targeting. Cal got screwed by the refs.

So two other people agree with me and the replay clearly didn’t think it was.

Shoulder contact or not it's irrelevant. He lowered his head and launched. That's targeting regardless of whether or not

Oh 100 percent it was. Just saying that Cal should take some of the blame for choking a big lead.

but no credit for getting a big lead in the first place?

Yeah lots of credit to cal for getting big league. They also choked it away. Is giving up a 25 point lead not choking?
cougarfanatic

it is but they only gave up 18 of that on their own. the refs handed that to miami twice from the targeting to that TD

I didn’t think it was targeting 🤷♂️

Call was reviewed w/ the benefit of slow mo. Leads w/ head, QB head snaps before shoulder hits. Targeting.

Yeah that no call wasn’t the problem.

The refs missed Ott stepping out on his long TD catch. That no call a problem?

They’re also not expected to outplay a top 10 team every minute of the wholegame

Refs didn't have to give them all 25 points. Only needed 1 pt to win the game.
