For over 25 years Alabama was in the West and Vandy was in the East, so they only played 3 or so times in a 10 year period. Now they should play a little more often since they got rid of divisions and you will play everyone except your designated rival about equally.

Alabama did play TN every year because they were their designated cross division rivalry.
