Technically it's not guaranteed. It's the top 5 ranked conference champions
that get an auto bid so if, for example, the MWC champion AND the AAC champion both finish ahead of the Big 12 champ, then the Big 12 champ wouldn't get an auto bid. Of course, the chances of that happening are incredibly low.
