Wait a second. So, undiluted sulfuric acid isn't corrosive to a steel container,
(or, at least, minimally so), and heavily diluted sulfuric acid (say, <10%) is also not corrosive to a steel container, but right in the middle of the two, sulfuric acid will almost immediately chew a hole in a steel container??

How in the world does THAT work???
