Team ERA 3.86 Padres to 3.90 Dodgers. OPS Dodgers .781 vs Padres .746

Head to head is nonpredictive, but they've played 3 times since August 1.

I'm not trying to suggest the Dodgers should be prohibitive favorites. Just that there's not a lot of evidence behind the sentiment that the Padres are somehow some juggernaut on a run. It's not based in fact at least relative to the Dodgers.
