The Legend of Cam Rising is far greater than the player.
Cam shouldn’t play again. The legend will grow.
He’s like Colin Kaepernick. I always said Kap would be a fool to make a comeback. He knew it too. Back up QBs don’t get $100m contracts from Nike. It is better to believe he went out as the QB who led the Niners to an improbable Super Bowl and almost came out the victors, than how he really went out…sulking on the sidelines after he was benched for his poor performance.
He then turned that benching into the greatest grift ever…and the legend that he could still be a starting QB on a Super Bowl team lived on.
Cam should do the same. Just let them wonder and pretend.
