Mets didn't desperately want to beat these same Brewers last Friday and Saturday so they could have made the Monday games completely meaningless. It's looking like they won't need him, but they would have much preferred having Diaz available today along with other pitchers in the bullpen.


But the ball has bounced their way today and they look headed to a very important victory.
