member. My understanding is that it is pretty difficult to qualify if you don’t have a medical school. I believe this is one reason Nebraska got kicked out of AAU after they joined the BIG, it was determined that the Nebraska medical school in Omaha is not part of the Nebraska-Lincoln institution (i.e. it is a separate institution), so it couldn’t be counted for purposes of AAU membership, which UNL was previously doing.
