training for a race?
For nutrition on the race, I wouldn’t worry a ton about that. When it comes to a half water/electrolyte drinks are best. Depending on your goal time, you could consider some cliff chewables or some gels but I’ve found I don’t use them much. Also depends on the temperature you plan to run in. I’m a salty sweater so if it’s hot I have to get salt in me or I cramp.
