was my wife's first time at RES and my first since the Max Hall beat down in 2008. She was pretty observant of a few things:

The type of people that attend stood out to her. We sat around some really nice people and they seemed perfectly normal but many, many fans are different than the ones we were around. We have been to plenty of baseball games so drunk loud obnoxious vulgar fans don't bother her but she said these fans are different than that.

The concessions service was really fast. Like really fast. And they got the refillable drinks this year or last I guess and there are more stations and they are more conveniently located than LES for sure.

All the flags annoyed her. Luckily they were gone most of the game and only came out for like 5 mins after they scored that TD late. They went away pretty fast after that too.

They are NOT happy with Wilson. Like at all. Lots of people saying they weren't coming next game if he is still playing.

On our way to the trax after people behind us were saying that at least from here on out the schedule is pretty easy, only one ranked team left being Iowas St. Very easy to win out. I reminded them that BYU is also on the schedule. They were kinda surprised and came back with oh that game doesn't count. I played along.

Not a bad experience honestly and in my heart I was very happy to witness the fans meltdowns with the reviews and the refs and the game in general. My poor buddy talked my ear off on the way out and not a word on the way home. I secured those seats for the BYU game and I will wear royal then. I have matured out of starting fights but I also don't want my buddy to get in trouble with the people that he buys the tix from either. Hopefully we start fast and keep our foot on the pedal when we play them.
