Having already hit the over on projected wins. Anything at this point is icing and with at least 3-4 more very winnable games, plus having already won 3 games that were probably penciled in as losses, there is a ton to be excited about.

Retzlaff has shown he can be both Brock Purdy and Jake Heaps (the bomb to Lassiter was just an elite QB play). It’s fine though because the former is making more appearances than the latter as he gets more confidence and experience.

The depth at running back has been nice and necessary. When 3-4 string backs are making plays and scoring TDs and the 5th string guy is getting the bulk of carries in key games, it really goes to show how hard the team and coaches are working.

We all need to pray for the Oline to get healthy, it’s one of the big reasons BYU is 5-0. If byu wins 5 more games or more it will be on these guys backs.

Defense was the absolute anchor of this season until for whatever reason BYU went drop 8 yesterday and it nearly cost us the win. I have hope the aggressive, exotic defense we saw in the first 4 games returns.

I am a believer in this team and I had to be converted because I felt 3-9 was more likely than 5-7 and now? how wrong I was.. and it wasn’t even close!!! This team is going to give us a lot more excitement and a trip to a bowl game.

Finally, the playmakers BYU has at WR is such a luxury. Really, cleaning up the drops is all that is preventing these guys from being one of the country’s elite corps at that position.
