I had many friends during that time who didn't. Their home situations were horrendous. Like a single mom addicted to crack sleeping with a different (abusive) guy every few weeks. Yep, that dude ended up in prison. Or like a single dad who never even looked at his son or cared what he did and never showed any attention other than a drunken beating every so often. Yep, that dude is dead.
