Also, my house isn't very large. We just have small bedrooms.
Anyway, at one point I had 3 kids in one bedroom while 2 bedrooms were used as play rooms.
The biggest "bedroom" in the house was shared by my two oldest kids at that time.

So we had 5 kids spread between 2 bedrooms while 2 bedrooms were vacant.

That's not the case now.
no one shares a bedroom anymore.
