There is some pretty good science behind the fact that weightlifting won't fix people's obesity problems.
Should weightlifiting be included in a healthy lifestyle? of course.



TL;DR: While drinking the same fructose drink, obese people had a different area of their brain light up using a functional MRI than skinny people. IOW, obesity changed how they were wired in their brain to keep them obese.

glp-1 agonists changed this, and in 3 months the medication made obese people(losing weight) have the same functional MRI than skinny people.
