Yes, I lock out no I don't go all the way down and yes, that's the right
Without getting into a huge anatomy lesson and having some orthopedits. Come on here or anybody who has a physical. Therapist, doctorate, to tell you that what I'm telling you is correct. I'm too thin to go all the way down with too long of arms. If I go all the way down my elbows and arms are behind my back, which means that I am no longer recruiting my chest. It's way past that point. And i'm only using shoulders to drive, which is terrible for your shoulders. My two shoulders and the multiple shoulder surgeries can attest to this, which is why i've learned quite a bit about this, the whole benching to your chest thing is bull

Thing to do for me anatomically. Without getting an anatomical dummy on here and a northopedist or somebody with a doctorate in physical therapy to explain to you the difference in people's physiology. For me, I'm a thin guy from front to back and I've got long arms, therefore, for me to go all the way to the ground or to bench all the way to my chest, my elbows are behind my back, which means the first. Inch to 3 inches, the first of drive are all shoulder drive. There's no recruitment of chest. Can't stretch past parallel? So I do dumbbell work on the floor and if you come down and you bring dumbbells to the bottom of the floor that's how much of a bench press I do, and that's how much of it. Push-up, I do so. I'm about three inches, 223 inches from the floor which is a parallel out to the side which is full recruitment of chest and protects my shoulders.

If you are a thick barrel-chested person or back person, you've got more on your back and you got shorter arms, then going to your chest might be what you need to do to reach parallel. That's not what I need to do, but that's more of a function of where your chest is not where your arms are in relation. Your body
